I was contacted by phone number 209-356-9118 though text. Identified as Mrs. Rita Palmer from the company GIE Medical. Stated that I had been scheduled for an interview, and I told her I had not known an interview was scheduled. She informed me it was for vacant positions for Data Entry Clerk, Customer service representative, technical specialist, administrative assistant, billing clerk and accounts payable. She then asked for my email address to forward it to the interview manager, then proceeded to instruct me to use Microsoft Teams to do the interview. Then I was contacted by a Dr. Albert Palmer, with a slew of information and questions explaining the company and confirming my qualifications for the said job. Then I was instructed to reach out to him the next day, which I did but not before doing some research and found this exact job on the ScamPulse.com website, and reports on Reddit stating that this was a scam offer. Because it seemed very thought out, I hoped that wasn't the case. The next day I was sent an offer letter from and email address that had obvious spelling errors. So, I requested a phone number to the HR department to verify the information. I was asked what information did I need to verify and from there I stopped getting responses. I've seen on public forums that good people hardworking people are losing money over this company sending checks to cover equipment cost and the check bouncing. I hope this can be put to a stop.
