I received a ping saying that I had won an iPhone 12 from Telus. I was to be charge 1.95 for delivery. Stupidly, I gave them my credit card number. I checked my bank and, indeed, they charged me just the 1.95. However, it was Euro, not dollars. I was told I would also get a 5 day trial for yoga. After a couple of days I checked my bank again and found a charge of E49.80. This charge went through the day after the delivery charge even though I supposedly had a 5 day trial period. I cancelled the trial within 5 days and began a month-long correspondence with the company. After threatening to report them to BBB, they offered 50% back. I told them I was negotiating with my bank and would let them know. After about 10 days with no perceivable action by my bank, I decided to accept their offer. They then said they could not give me a partial refund due to "technical reasons".
