I received a call from a Scott Thurman claiming to be a Georgia Power representative. He told me I owed my bills from February and March and if I didn't pay them he would cut my power off. I knew this was false because I just paid the bill for May this morning, and there was nothing else owed. He told me I needed to go to CVS, Walgreens, or Walmart and get gift cards totaling $246.00 to pay the bill. I hung up and called GA Power who verified my account didn't have any bills on it and called the ScamPulse.com to report this scam.
