Scammer called to tell Consumer that their power will be cut off if they don't pay $498.00 immediately. The Consumer stated they do not have $498 and they are not late on payments to Georgia Power. The Scammer stated that they will not turn off power if the Consumer pays $190, and then the remaining balance later. The Consumer paid the $190 over the phone using his debit card.
