First I received an email response for a job ad I responded to. Then, I was instructed to use zoom to contact [email protected] through Zoom message for a chat interview. After completing the "interview," I was advised i received an 87% out of 100 and passed my interview. Then was advised I was approved for the job, that the equipment had to be purchased by me and they would send me a check via *.pdf which I am expected to deposit into my bank account right away. And I have not even signed the acceptance letter yet, which uses Compass Group stationary, yet I already have a check from Lynch Thompson LLP (which is not a company listed anywhere in this scam until now) which I am instructed to deposit into my bank account, and then to purchase my equipment myself so that they have proof that I received my equipment that they are going to preload with stuff for me. I have less than 24 hours to complete the job offer paperwork, which includes an empty application form, and nothing but George Materese's name listed. The forms state it's only binding in Missouri, their corporate office is in the United Kingdom, but the US corporate headquarters is in South Carolina. And this individual's LinkedIn account has nothing posted and was just created with no connections added. I'm not following for this scam, and have been on Zoom chat now for over 3 hours with this guy. I'm ending this conversation with him, and I have all the email correspondence and the chat conversation in Zoom if anyone wants it to review it. Did I mention they offered me $42.15 / hour for a data entry position when I requested $37,000 - 45,000 salary? And they also demanded front and back copies of the signed and deposited check as proof that I deposited it. I refused to do so.
