My mother saw an ad on the Internet for a 20-something piece cookware set that was Red. I ordered it on December 5, 2022. They sent me an email on 12/24/22 stating my order had been shipped or rather it will ship as soon as they get more product in. "Please be patient" The last email i sent was on May 20, 2023 asking for a refund. I had sent an email back on Jan. 27, 2023 asking for a refund as well. I never received a response. And then I checked the website, which was shut down. So I suppose they scammed as many as they could, then shut down. Just wanted to make others aware of this particular scam. I am attaching some emails to show correspondence and what tracking information states.

ordered on line. end of November sent a follow-up email asking for order status end of December claimed it was in progress they gave a site to check status, it has not changed and the reviews on the order status site says no one has received their order, this is a scam

I saw a flash sale pop up on my computer for Black Friday Christmas sale. I clicked on it and there was a bundle of cast iron pots for $19.99. I made the purchase on November 24, 2022. On December 6, 2022, I reached out to their email inquiring about my order. Someone with the fake name (Anita) and another fake name (Amanda) stated that I would receive my order within 7-15 business days from December 6, 2022. In an effort to make me wait for my refund, they tried to convince me again that those were the lowest prices of the season.

They sent me a a detailed shipping link which showed that the merchandise was shipped from China to California (where it has apparently been according to them since December 6, 2022). I asked that they either ship my goods which I purchased or provide me with a refund. They were reluctant to provide me with a refund and then stated that they will give me a refund minus shipping cost. I again asked for a full refund to include shipping costs.

I learned that the company is a Chinese company which does business overseas but the users gave me American names. When I asked for their full names (not a different name), they refused to do so and then began to omit using their names at all in the emails. So I then asked for their actual names believing that the names they gave me were fake. They refused to give me any name at that time.

I informed them that their lack of use of a name at the end of their messages made me believe that the business is illegitimate. Additionally, there was something off about the last email I received. They wrote “We seek a full refund from the company for you.” That’s not a typical statement when someone says they will refund you. You’re usually said something similar to “We’ll provide you with a full refund”. Or “We’ll reimburse you”. So it doesn’t seem legit. Retailers also typically tell you how they will reimburse (check, credit card, bank account), etc. Something is not right with their business.

They have my PII: My name, my home address, certainly my credit card info because I paid with a credit card, and my phone number. If they wanted to find me and do harm in anyway (virtual or physical) they could and I would never know who they are.

My request is that you investigate this “GEM Nice” business.

I ordered cookware but never received it.
