Yesterday, June 13, 2016, we received a call from someone claiming to be Robert Shuell, 516-220-0603, of General Information Services. He wanted us to send photographs of our house inside and out, with measurements. He said our insurance company wanted them, and named our insurer accurately (State Farm). We said we would call our insurer and ask about it. Our insurer had never heard of him, and showed no interest in pursuing the matter. There is a real General Information Services, whose primary purpose appears to be background checks on prospective employees. There is also a real Robert T Shuell connected to that phone number. He lives in Williston Park with some other Shuells, and he is 98 years old. The person we spoke with was not 98 years old. I am considering where else to report all this.
