Gencom Tech Systems Reports & Reviews (3)

I was an applicant through Indeed and I got an email stating that Indeed had referred my resume’ to them and they would like to interview me over the phone. They did call the next day for a brief interview and the next day I was notified through email that I had gotten the job. They explained that they were in Ontario and that they were opening an office in Ft Worth and that my office manager duties would be to initially set up the office. They said they were signing a lease for an office space and the keys would be sent to me and they would be Sending a class by UPS for 4900.00 for supplies. They also explained that another woman would be calling me to help with compiling a list.

The rest of our communication has been done through text messaging. I refused UPS delivery and have since blocked this caller on my phone. They do have my home address which is a concern.

I was contacted by email stating my resume was sent by Indeed and was informed the company is looking for an office manager. I responded back indicating my interest in the position and gave them my contact information for a phone interview. The interview consisted of three questions and within two days I received an email confirmation offering me the position. Within the email it listed the job the description, salary, and requested my full name, mailing address and cell number (not landline). He stated he would be sending a lab top and the hiring packet through the mail and a check to purchase office supplies for the new office opening on 3/2/2020 and that he would be contacting me within 24 hours. I called the number that was provided to me asked why would they send a check under my name and he stated that's how the company chose to handle it.

I began researching the company name and the HR Mgr making the calls and sending the text and found that he is in Ontario Canada. I did a reverse lookup on the phone number and nothing came up. I googled the address and it's a Medical office with many floor levels. The address initially takes you the back of the building. I received a call today 2/13/2020 stating they do not have location secured in the Fort Worth area yet but that should be taken care of next week and the keys sent to me. The check will be sent in the amount of $4099.00 and he informed me they would be sending checks until the office opens and the 3rd check will need to be direct deposit. I was then asked if I had a bank account. No information other than my name, address and phone number was given.

- San Antonio, TX, USA

Initially contacted me via text. The next day offered me employment via email. Requested personal information but did not want a landline phone number.
