Scammer used software made to appear as a Better Business Bureau website through which I was to receive a refund of my cancelled Geek Squad annual subscription service. Instead of the $300 subscription fee reimbursement to my checking account, an "error occurred" which made appear as if $3000 was deposited. The scammer then supposedly spoke to someone at ScamPulse.com who then sent me an e-mail stating that they had received a report that I had attempted to fraudulently obtain the $3000. This was then used by the scammer to make my repayment of the $2700 "overpayment" more urgent. The scammer then said that I would have to use gift cards to effect the $2700 repayment. That's when I terminated the contact with the scammer. Shortly afterward the $3000 deposit to my checking account was cancelled.
