They sent me an email from geek squad saying I owed $500 for a protection fee. I’m pretty poor and I did set up a protection plan so in panic of being overdrawn I called right away. They had me download team viewer and allow it access to my laptop and it all seemed very legit (even my friend who is pretty skeptical believed it) until they asked me to open my bank account on my computer. I decided to open it on my phone to be extra safe and realized there was no charge, so I hung up immediately and deleted the team viewer off my computer. I NEVER fall for these scams but this one was very believable and seemed legit.
