A pop up appeared on my computer and a 1800 number with it. I called this number and they said it would need to be professionally taken care of by your techicians, whom are microsoft engineers. I paid the money asked and after the technician was finished I tried using my computer and it was running slower than before and kept lagging. I then asked my IT guy at work about it. He said that it was a scam and looked at my computer. Low and behold the software that was put on my computer had Trojans attached to it and somebody now had control over my computer. I called the same number that I called the first time and they told me that they had no record of helping me or my transaction. I was told that the software that was placed on my computer with the Trojans attached to it would be removed and it wasn't. It is just in another place and we are unable to get rid of it. The techinician said he could fix this problem with someone hacking into my computer and that only they could fix it because they were microsoft engineers and this was a microsoft comany. I looked this company up online and there is no affiliation with microsoft at all. I have been lied to many times by this company and I am not happy nor do I feel safe that my computer is not compromised so I am having to get another computer.
