I was contacted by someone posing as the Board President asking me to make a payment to a vendor for administrative services. They asked if I could do it with Zelle. I called the bank and they said not with the business account, but that I could make the payment with ACH. The scammer provided me a name and bank account information and with the help of the banker the payment was sent. After the bank closed the Executive Director and I figured out it was a scam and she said she would go to the bank the next day to report the fraud and get a stop on the payment. The bank said they were unable to stop the payment and has not refunded our money.
