Received a call at my home about twenty minutes ago. A lady identified herself as a GE employee and was anxious to give me a free upgrade to my home's security system. I told her we have an ADT system. She asked if we had had the system more than three years. I told her yes. She said that GE makes those systems and we could still receive the upgrade free. She then passed me off to her "senior management" person, who took the phone about half a second later and repeated the offer. He had some questions. I told him I never do that sort of business over the phone, and before I completed that sentence, he hung up.
