Caller ID showed from ATT 1-614-481-1926. All foreign call center background noise. Free upgrade offered for Alarm system. Claimed to be from the alarm manufacturer GE. They did not know my system specs. I did not tell them. They tried to get my birthdate to "authorize". Ask about alarm system keypad design. Claimed to lower monitoring service fees for 60 months and install touchscreen keypad and smoke detector. Transferred me to scheduling dept who was with Alliance Security then Allied Security , the installation company. Technician was to be scheduled to install the unit. I suspect they would check my home for later burglary. I told them the savings wasn't worth the change and ask questions about the system. They hung up.
