Can you help me to flush these scam-artists out of my neighborhood? Twice now, I've hired a different plumber and this one came. First, let me make it clear that the scam isn't about the money. I needed plumbing done, I agreed to a price, the plumbing was done, and I paid for it. The problem is that I contacted Joliet Plumbing and Sewer Experts with 71 five-star reviews on Google with years of history. A man came to my house, identified the problem, gave me a quote, came back 4 hours later than promised while I was in a meeting (my daughter let him in) and did the work. When the work was done, I was given the bill from Neighborhood Rooter Express, a completely different company, one that I've hired before and specifically avoided. I feel entirely fooled by this fraud. How many fake business fronts and phone numbers does he have? This isn't the first time this has happened! The first time I ran into Neighborhood Rooter Express was a few years ago, when my toilet broke. And it was the same experience. I called a different business name and they came. At the time, I thought nothing of it, maybe they bought them out. But now I know this is shady business!!! Their own reviews are horrible. Those 71 perfect 5 star reviews are fake, the website the listing goes to doesn't exist. It can't be legal that they are pretending to be other plumbers in my area. I can't seem to escape these scam artists! They left me a card with not one but 4 other phone numbers on it: ************* ************* ************* *** ************. What?! I called ***** ******** so that means, there are even more. And on the card I was given, there is no address. On the receipt I was given, there is only a PO Box of **** *** ****** ** *****  Am I a little worried about my credit card information going to them? No, because they used a tap app through SquareUp. Their company name there is R****** ******* (so their name lost Neighborhood and added an "s" to Rooter) with a new phone number of course, *** ********. Please stop these people!

I paid him 50% upfront. We agreed to the other 50% once everything was completed. Things seemed to be going well. Until last week he wanted an additional 40% before finishing.

He was very aggressive and would not agree to a final walkthrough. He wanted the last amount immediately and would not inform me why he wanted an additional 500$.

Upon a walkthrough by myself I discovered he broke the exterior door frame(as if the door had been kicked it), broke one of my wall sconces. Made no effort to clean up. Andddd did not fix the issues I pointed out the week before the job was complete.

When these concerns were brought up, I was threatened with him returning to the property to rip everything out(after I had already paid 90%).

All I asked was that he address or respond to the concerns. I had no issue with paying. But the job was not complete.

Now I am left to hire another professional to fix the disaster of a mess, items his workers broke, and fix the issues he previously agreed to fix before the job was complete.

Wish I could share the screenshots of the texts messages.
