Gregory Miller called my home and said that if we do not pay the bill within one hour the electricity will be turned off. They told me to obtain a money pack card. They told me that it was $400 but I said I don't have that much money and they said they would take a minimum of $270, which I did.

Mr. Miller then called me back about an hour later and asked for the code on the back of the card and gave it to him. He then said that your power won't be shut off and gave me a confirmation number and hung up.

I was later told that this was a scam.

I am alerting the AG's office and the FTC.

You should also contact Sempra Energy utility to verify before paying this.
