Applied for a virtual assistant position with Dugg burger on Linked In. Got an email through Linked In to email [email protected] with my resume to be considered. I had sent my resume, Garrett contacted me back to get general information when applying for a new position. I sent my phone number, address and occupation. Then he requested additional information regarding availability. I sent over this information then I requested we schedule a call the following day to discuss due to me receiving other scam/ phishing messages. He ignored that question and asked me to get right to work so I never responded. He messaged me again today 4/20 and said he sent me a check for $2,498.15 (which did arrive), he asked me to deposit the money straight into my bank account and then gave me a task of finding some flights for him from Toronto to Singapore to JFK. The check that I received came from ABB Royal Inc at 2286 N Indian Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92262. This is a condo complex with no unit number which have many up for sale, so I’m assuming this address is not actually associated to any business.
