Here is what they sent me: "I need you to help me with a little bit favor .The favor is about the event planner in charge of the event, I have some outstanding payment i need to pay her and i really need to get the fund to her before the date of the event. That’s why i want to add up her outstanding payment to the check i am sending to you so that you can help me to get his funds across to him once you receive it .I am going to send you the check of $800 $180 will be for you own service down payment you will take extra $50 as tip, stress and any other necessary fees while the rest of $570 would be sent to the event planner." Overpayment scam?
