I needed to replace my garage door opener because I lost my clicker in my neighborhood and I saw on Facebook someone in my community was a garage door repair person. I imessaged him and he sent someone out the next day. In their defense I lost my opener and was concerned someone was going to be able to get in my house, so I was desperate and felt safe with a neighbor taking care of this. Normally I would get 3 estimates first but out of concern for my safety, I went this route instead. When the first technician, Ben, came I only asked for the estimate of a new opener but throughout the process he convinced me that I should replace the springs, wheels, and drive as well. I had him do it. I paid close to $9000.00. The opener was a Chamberlain and I paid $2700 for it, before labor. Which I looked it up later and found they are much, much cheaper. The other thing I noticed after the installer left is there was masking tape over the name Chamberlain on the opener. I had company visiting at this time so was not paying close enough attention through out the process to what was going on. It turns out he was unable to program the remote in my car with the opener, so he said he would get another technician to come out and do it. A week later he came out and did that. Then I noticed that they had not replaced all the wheels, so I called the company and the sent out a technician today. What I am concerned about is they have had to come out 3 times to finish the project and the technicians didn't want to give their names. It is hard to get through to the company on the phone and the invoice they sent via email was incorrect. There were no papers exchanged at the end of the first installation, It was just sent through emails. They did not have the springs listed on the original invoice so I had them correct the invoice only to find they left off the part about the lifetime warranty, which I was told I was entitled to. Further there was no taxes charged according to the invoice. If you look at the invoice there is no city listed in the address and there is no zip code. As the last person came today, I was told by the company, when I made the appointment, it would be a man named Rom and he would come around 1. At 11 I got a call and it was a different technician. I asked him if he was Rom and he said no. I told him I needed his name so he could get in the gate and he said he needed to call the company and would call me back. He never called me back and got into the gate because I had put the name Garage and Gate in as my guest. He was here to install the two wheels that hadn't done, and he didn't know that when he arrived. At first he said it couldn't be done because they were attached to the cable. I told him I paid for it so it needed to be done, plus another company had done this for a neighbor, no problem. So he started by bending the metal track that the wheels are in with pliers, which concerned me because I thought it could impact the integrity of the track. I took out my camera to take a picture of what he was doing and he nervously backed away and said' "what are you doing?" He clearly did not want to be photographed. Following installing the wheels he needed me to press the opener in the garage several times to get it back hooked up and and running. I was inside and he was outside the garage door. He told me to close the door one more time, which I did, but then opened it because I was expecting to check with him before he left. When I opened the door immediately he was already trying to get into his car. Clearly he wanted to get away. This group all had foreign accents which normally would not phase me, but with all the difficulty I had to just get what I paid for, and all the secrecy around what people's names were, and the business not having an address, I felt it would be wise to report it. I think they may be scamming people because of what I said above, their form of contact through Facebook which made me think this was a neighbor which suckered me in. I was clearly overcharged but am not looking for anything because this was all my own fault...I didn't do what I normally would have done, but was concerned about my safety. I am hoping that if they are not legitimate, that somehow they get shut down. I know now why they have a lifetime warranty on parts...because I am pretty sure they won't be around in the future to make good on it.

My Mom called for a garage estimate. Very simply one car garage. They came and left, left a mess, no warranty or information, cost $5100.00 and now Feb 6, 2025 its already not working properly (from a job date of 12/10/2024.). Almost NO information on the "receipt" but "Garage and Gates" and the phone number 239-396-3838.

Extremely overpriced. Garage door repair service. At least four times more than what it should have been. Felt pressured in purchasing the service. Service lasted about 12 minutes. Fake reviews on Internet from different accounts. Posting just one review. Address seems to be fake in a car dealership.

It’s a Jewish garage repair company. They scam by asking for unwarranted replacement of the products. Their repair mechanics don’t know what to do or how to fix
