Victim received a letter with instructions to send an email to [email protected] after you have deposited the check for $1,984.50. After depositing check, victim was to forward money to various individuals under the pretense that they are a "Mystery Shopper". Victim did not forward money. If they had, they would have owed the bank back that money because it was a counterfeit check. Company on check was called to verify it was not them, and company says they are a victim as well, and account has been closed.
