These people were to have paid me for playing music at a wedding. The sent a check for $1985, and said that there had been a mistake. The photographer's bill got included with mine, so they said. They asked me to send them a check for this amount, minus my fee of $325. Lo and behold, their check bounced and I am out $1660.

The business sent me a check for $1950.00, the name on the check was Anthony Alessi. They sent a list of things for me to do. One of them was to deposit the check and deduct $400.00 for my payment and then to spend $1500.00 in American Express gift cards or Nike gift cards.

Received text message to participate in a survey. Was sent via USPS Priority Mail 2 checks in the amount of $1850.63 ea. Instructed to cash checks then purchase gift cards in certain denominations and complete a survey for each site. Report was sent to designated email. Within 4 days, my bank informs me that checks were deemed fraudulent and I was charged $18/check. I e done Surveys before and all were legitimate. I’ll be doing more research before I jump in to help another company.
