I received a certified check in the amount of $1,520.00 with a letter stating I had been chosen as SecretShopper based on the 'SecretShopper Program' online application. The name on the check was my previous name that I haven't had in 30 years. I told the person I talked to that I don't remember applying for this but it would have been 30 years ago. He said it was in the last 6 months. I told him that is not possible because the name used was not my correct name. I instantly told him I thought this was a scam and would report them. He became agitated with me and went on to say that I DID apply online within the last 6 months using my previous name and why would people like me do such a thing and use a different name, I am so dishonest, blah, blah, blah. I said a few choice words and hung up on him. This was the second letter and check I received. The first time I received one was about two weeks ago and it was a check (not cashier's check) in the amount of $1,880.00. I did nothing with that one because again, they used my previous name. These people need to be stopped! It was the same letter for both the check and cashier's check. I could not find anything online for this company that used the same logo as they have listed on their letter. If you want me to send the letter that came with the check I would be more than happy to share it.
