I was called by Future Tech Wireless Inc. and told that in order to maintain my DISH satellite services, i needed to mail them a check for $199. They said that i would receive a discount of $25/month off my DISH bill. After mailing them the check, it had DISH on the memo line, i was told they could not cash that check. They told me to mail another check without mentioning DISH. Foolishly, i did. Upon receiving my DISH bill i saw there was no discount. Upon calling DISH i was told this is a scam. It made me mad that this company could get my personal info from DISH and use it to trick me into paying. After paying for stop payment on the check they said they could not cash, adding to it the check they did cash, i lost $229 ($30 to stop payment on check).
