Here is my story:
I was looking to gift my mom a Sphynx kitten, I came across https://frusphynxkittens.com and sent them an inquiry that I was interested in the kitten Shadow. They replied instantly via text and email.
We agreed on a deal $600 for the kitten and $170 for the transportation (California to Illinois).
The next day (7am CST) Mr. Shamiya Brandon "the owner" confirmed via email that the kitten was dropped off at the carrier and that the carrier would email me the itinerary and that the kitten estimated time of delivery would be that afternoon (8/19/21).
The carrier sosexpressdelivery.com emailed me a couple hours later around 11am CST that the kitten needed a different crate for air transportation and that the crate the owner had dropped him off did not meet the "new" regulations. They now requested I pay $1,250 which $1,200 would be refunded at time of delivery since the "insurance" the owner had purchased covered it.
I immidialaty contacted the owner and asked him to please cover this, since we already had a deal. He declined and after much thought I went through with paying this absurd amount.
sosexpressdelivery.com then emailed me the new itinerary and it showed that the kitten would now had to have a lay over at Kansas, but they assured me the kitten would be delivered at 8:30pm CST.
Around 7pm CST sosexpressdelivery.com emailed me saying URGENT URGENT etc the kitten now needs this special insurance, for it to be cleared at custom. Please pay $1, 550 which $1,500 would be refunded at time of delivery.
Thats when I 100 % confirmed this was a scam and not only was one Buisness a fraud but it was two the breeder and carrier.
They have now stop replying and answering my calls.
I now have lost a total of $2,020 ( $600 cat + $170 transportation + $1,250 new required crate)
