Type of a scam Online Purchase
After speaking with a "customer service representative ", I was told the "membership"was canceled, the pending purchase would be stopped, and no further charges will be charged to my debit card.
Today (10/29), I check my mobile app, and there was a successful purchase of $12.99, as well as a pending purchase for $39.99. Again, I contact the "customer service ", and go through the same conversation as my first call. I informed the "agent" of the events prior, and the end result of me confirming I want out of the membership and my money back. I was asked for my card number inorder to receive my refund. During this conversation, I heard a rooster in the background, which made me asks question's, one of which was to speak to a supervisor. I was told several time's that they were busy helping other caller's, and they would be the one to assist me. Eventually, after me refusing to cooperate, a man gets on the line and introduces himself as the "supervisor", I again repeat the same conversation I had with the previous "agent", which again gave me the same results as before. I was assured the $39.99 was a preauthorization and hadn't/wouldn't be taken off my card, and the $12.99 would be refunded. I was told since I wasn't comfortable giving all digits of my card, I could give an email address to complete my refund. Again was told membership was canceled, and apologized for the inconvenience. The pending purchaser's are no longer on the statement, but youcan see the refunds.
Ever since, I have received a few emails from random people, saying "hi, [my name], it's me [random person name]. Each email was reported as spam.
