I got a text from Ed asking me did I see the message he sent me about about a debt application I previously submitted. And he could offer me a lower rate to consolidate. I have never sent an application for debt relief thats what tipped me off. I ask him what was the company's name. He told me he was a credit counselor at Fresh Start. I ask what information was submitted and where? What is your company contact information? He said he would rather talk over the phone. I said I would rather text. I asked him was his company accredited by the BBB. Thats when he text he would not reach out to me again and have a nice day. I told him I will have him investigate and prosecuted. Thats when he put me on an auto text that said "[Auto Reply] Sorry I'm on a call, I'll reply soon".

Do not use Fresh Start for lowering your monthly Federal Education Loan payment. They are a third party company that will charge you to transfer your loan to a legitimate company. They will promise to drastically lower your payment each month. My payment went up almost 100.00 each month. I have talked to someone at Fresh Start three times and they say they will check into it and lower my monthly payment and call me back. None of that happened. They told me that to just get me off their back. There are several companies like this so beware.

I was trying to apply for a small loan, the person text messaging me on the other side, wanted all of my personal information prior to the application. I assumed to ensure I am who I say I am and making sure I am not a scammer.

After sending a copy of my driver's license, they said I don't make enough money and that the conversation cannot continue. I make in excess of *** a month. I was only trying to rebuild my credit.

I am unsure as what to do at this point
