I applied for a job thru ZipRecruiter. I was asked to do an interview by email thru an app called hangouts. A few days after my interview, I received a Job Acceptance letter from Fresenius Medical Care. I then had to do more tasks (written questions). From there I was sent a check for start up fees. The check was from Abiomed Pharmaceutical which I thought was odd and the return address on the envelope was from HH Construction, which also seemed odd. I took the check to my bank and had them look at it and the email I received on how to deposit the check and they confirmed it was fraud. I then called Fresenius to let them know and they told me they had received a lot of these calls. The person who sent me the check wanted to see how well I followed instructions and wanted me to deposit the check thru an ATM or mobil banking, which was strange. I know now they didn't want it to go theu a teller because they would be able to tell it was a fraudulent check.
