Type of a scam Online Purchase

My boyfriend and I were looking to purchase a puppy. We found a website that had puppies for sale for cheap that was called "Frenchies Bulldogz", based out of Texas. He contacted the organization via email with his information, and they began texting him. He was told that the puppy would be shipped to us in the morning (this morning), as long as he made the payment to them that night (last night) via Western Union. So, he went and sent the payment. He texted them to tell that so, and requested more information and photos of the puppy. They said they would send more information in the morning, and stopped responding at that. This morning, they told him that they were unable to receive the Western Union payment, and that he would have to send money another way. He immediately retrieved his money back, and found out through Western Union that no one had even attempted to pick the money up. He then got suspicious and then asked for proof of certification as a breeder, and the organization failed to provide it. I then posed as someone else from Vermont, wanting to purchase the same puppy, and I was told that it was available. I did this to see if he considered the purchasing of the puppy, by my boyfriend, as pending. We began talking on email, where I told him about myself, then he started to text me. I asked intimate questions in order to gain knowledge about the organization, and all I obtained was that the man texting was named "Kevin". He called me after I asked to talk on the phone, but tiptoed around all questions, demanding I text him my shipping information, even though the puppy was to be sent to an airport, not my house. He provided no further information other than to say he was in Texas. I managed to trace some of the images on "Kevin's" website back to another breeder's website. Frenchies Bulldogz had stolen her images. I called the site owner and told her of the copyright infringement, and she stated that scammers frequently take her photos and use them to rip people off. She said, "They will ask you to Western Union or Moneygram money to them, and then send a third party to pick it up. The third party will then receive a cut, and the transaction is then not traceable back to the organization. And you will certainly not receive a puppy." We almost got $300 taken from us, but luckily, my boyfriend got the money back in time. This organization wanted to sell the same puppy to two different people at the same time, without providing any credible information regarding their authenticity. I am hoping that Frenchies Bulldogz can be stopped so that they don't scam others and disappoint them. I was extremely upset, as we had already purchased supplies for him, chosen a name for him, and loved him already. Please spread the word about this heartless man who is using false advertisement to steal people's money.
