I was applying for jobs on Indeed and a phone number called me telling me they wanted to interview me but I never applied for the job they were interviewing me about. Then they set up an account for me and have been sending emails about how to do the job and so on. Basically they send me packages, I take pics of the packages, make sure nothing is damaged, and then I relabel it and send it off …

They called me saying I applied to this Shipping Examiner job on Thursday 8/27/26. They asked me to send front and back picture of ID and a selfie of me holding ID for a background check. They said 48 hrs will be the time to approve but I didn't get a call until Sunday. I did the onboarding but it looked suspicious at this point so I told the supervisor I will not continue this job. After that, they contacted me with a proof at Ohio Secretary of State for the document ID which seemed recent like made a week ago which doesn't help. The supervisor demanded that I pick up the package sent to me and send it out even if I no longer want to work the job. I have blocked their contact since.

A fake job offer as a quality control specialist that inspects and reships packages. No interviews were required and personal information such as drivers license were used to sign up with a contract.

I was contacted by email from this employer. I received phone calls for onboarding and was asked to send a photo holding up Drivers License for background check, along with my name and home address. I received several calls and set up a Dashboard. Once I was made aware of scam I stopped answering calls and responded to one email, asking to log in, in which I responded that they were a scam and asked to stop contacting me. I then received a package at my door from Tiffany & Co. with a fake receipt and fake earrings from said company.

I was called multiple times with voicemails about a job opportunity, I didn’t think much of it since I have been applying to multiple jobs recently of that similar position on working packages. The lady on the phone briefly interviewed me and then emailed me a link to fill out my information, which I saw the same “company” tried to reach out to me before about the job. They asked for my personal info and picture of an ID. After she said they were gonna reach back for a background check that was gonna take a few days. After the call I went on Indeed to check my application and the specific role since it was remote and realized there is no company or job position similar to it, I never applied for this job listing. Which then I did some research to realize it was a job scam to get people’s information and illegally send packages out linked to you.

Well I got an email and a call stated that I had applied for a job to be an examiner package examiner they emailed me they asked me to hold my ID and take a picture of it I did that I uploaded my banking information to them and everything

I was contacted by a person who had a very thick middle Eastern accent, and called themself Jennifer Lowry, in Ohio, wanting to hire me as a Shipping Examiner, where I'd receive packages at my house, to which I'd have to print out on regular paper, not labels that are legit sticker labels, and attach them on, and deliver them to UPS/USPS, etc., and I would get a base pay of $4300 monthly, for the first month which would be the entire amount for the probation period, then the $4300 would be sent weekly, no matter how many packages were delivered in the month, but I had to deliver 10-15 pkgs per wk, or 3-5 daily, and some packages would be VIP, and within a 10 mile radius, and I'd get paid up to $5100 for those. I was sent a contract, but didn't go to the site.

Emailed me about a job regarding receiving boxes and checking items and shipping them back out working from home. Then got a phone call 2 days later a bunch of yes and no questions she then offered me the job and asked if I could fill all my information out on the link provided to me by my email while she stayed on the phone I said no I'd need to look it over and then she quickly got off the phone and told me to call back later when I was ready and I'm definitely NOT going to. They ask for you to take a picture of yourself holding your I.d and send it to them for a background check it was a scam to get personal information.
