Nexum Solutions was the initial business I was in contact with. I received a letter in the mail stating that they could consolidate my loans and start me on an Income based loan forgiveness program. It costs $299 to start and $39 a month. It came at a perfect time because I had to pay over $700 a month on my student loans. I looked into Nexum and there wasn't any fraudulent activity. I also had someone else look it over, even looking into the ScamPulse.com reviews and still found nothing. So, I did it. They followed through with what they said and my student loans dropped down to $58 a month. I was ecstatic. Nexum continued to withdraw $39 as agreed and I paid my student loan directly to my lender. Everything seemed to be legit. A little over a year later I received a phone call stating my payment was declined. I told them that is not correct and to try again. They then asked for my information about my checking account. I told them to tell me what my account is and I would tell them if it was correct. She gave me the last four digits and I said that is correct and to try and withdraw it again. A payment wasn't taken out. By the way this was a different company calling. Their name is Freedom DocPrep. They said they are now helping Nexum with their clients. Today I looked at the ScamPulse.com website and there are 27 complaints. I then called my lender. I could have done all this on my own free of charge. Nexum wasn't even added on to my account with authorization. All they did was submit my paperwork I had filled out and sent to them. Nexum is a scam. Their website no longer exists and their phone numbers don't work. I feel Freedom DocPrep is Nexum's new name or they sold the information to them. I called Freedom DocPrep to find out the information I'm submitting. They were very hesitant to help. It took a few questions to drag out the information and get their website. If they took over Nexum's accounts, a letter should have been sent out of the change. Also Freedom DocPrep should have had all the information needed to withdraw payments out of my bank account. I'm out $962 for a service that wasn't needed. They are good at what they do by taking advantage of individuals who are looking fo financial assistance. They are actually stealing money because they aren't providing a service at all.
