They claimed to represent the US gov't for grants and he applied for a $20,000 grant. Later they said they would increase the grant to $50,000. A check supposedly was sent from *** and it went to Orlando. He required $1,850 and later $1,250 (he paid $850 and then $400). They told him they lost an agent in an accident and asked $965 more and he told them he wasn't going to pay it "because they are just scammers". They said the FBI would tell him that this organization is legitimate. The $1,250 (2 transactions of $850 & $400) paid was sent on July 23, 2019 from Walmart (S Broadway) to Walmart (Steven Boyd - should have been Byrd ref# 882646788) in Essex, Maryland. They talked to him through Google "hangouts". He also got a text from someone he "knew" that they had gotten their money from this organization. I asked if he called that individual to verify and he did not. Their attorney is supposedly David Riley with whom he emailed ([email protected]) attention David Riley. He sent $1,850 possibly to Tina Tibbits in Boise, Idaho but he doesn't remember the address. The check was sent from Regents Bank in Tyler TX and he says its been cashed. His "friend" in hangouts he doesn't really "know". In googling Tina Tibbits I found Tina M Tibbetts, 2401 S Owyhee St, Trlr 38, Boise ID 83705 (he confirmed this address was used to send the money). She's also known as Tina Weathermon or Chris Tibbetts and her email is "Ingbo***@aol.com" and ph# 208-377-3674, 208-884-1580 or 208-746-2829. David Riley put videos in an email showing two women talking. One is "thanking someone for the grant $". He can't find the other email video. The attachment is labeled "VD389.mp4" and he opened it. He says this all started on FaceBook.
