The scammers are still at it. Received a text asking if my car was still for sale. Continued text convo up until he gave me the website vinlookupreport.com. I googled it and it and it was not a known vin check site. He said his name is Fredie (*** doesn't even know that this name usually has two D's) Phone he is texting from (405) 254-8495 search found to be a landline in Oklahoma. The real owner of the number probably doesn't even know some ***k is using their number for scamming people!!

I know reporting the phone number does no good since the ability exists to change it to what a scammer wants to show you. My concern is that the website given is gaining access to a persons credit card information. I couldn't find an affiliate program associated with this one, so I feel this is the reason for the scammer wanting me to use this website.

After I texted that I used a KNOWN FREE VIN check site and that he could and should check the VIN himself, he just said that he will make his plans after I send the requested report. Then stopped texting me.
