A friend and I were looking for an apartment to share. We saw the ad on Craigslist for a two bedroom home at a very good price. We contacted Frederick via phone. He texted a response and sent an e mail with the application and process. Each of us filled out the application which included a request for our social security numbers and our Texas ID numbers and other personal information. He was going then to send the lease agreement and request the $1,000 deposit but we requested to see the house first. He told us he was out of State but we could go by the house and look in. A neighbor saw us and told us the house was for sale by the owner and we were probably being scammed. The neighbor said we were not the first people to come around looking at the house. We abandoned the search, blocked his number and put an alert on our credit.
