I received a text from 854-254-4459 saying, "Hello, you have received this text regarding the work from home Date Entry position. You are required to download and set up a MS Teams account and contact Mr. Darvin Lopez, the hiring manager and IM him via MS Teams with this link (https://teams.live.com/I/invite/FAAnrmMt3V0hqx5eQg) and connect with him for your interview. Hiring Code: (NSJOXT-001). Once done, reply "contacted"" I interviewed via Teams for a position with Stelara Biopharma with him. He emailed me 4 attachments, (an offer letter, background check, direct deposit info and W-4) all of which were doctored, unprofessional, even including the W-4. They also asked for a copy of my ID, front and back. They emailed a check to cover my office equipment for $2150, but after scanning with my phone, it showed that the check was doctored and it was from Appello Pharmaceuticals, not Stelara Biopharma. Red flags all over the place. He wanted me to print the check out, endorse it and deposit with my banking app. I showed him the irregularities, but now he's insisting on mailing me a check now, because I don't trust what they emailed me. I also received a separate text from a Sarah Harden from Exosome Sciences, Inc. at 619-860-1453 asking me to sign an offer form, which I did and returned. They even set up an employee portal for me at: https://careers.exosomesciencesinc.com/employeeportal/public/ The initial text asked me to send my resume to [email protected], then Sarah asked me to set up a Telegram account and link with her here: https://t.me/sarah19024 She also wanted me to do the exact thing with a check that she had claimed to send me, but I never received it. After questioning her about the Statera check and why it sounded exactly like what they were trying to do, she deleted our conversation. Both SCAMS!!

I received the same text message. I first checked to see if they had any jobs listed on Zip Recruiter, where they claimed they saw my resume. Then I looked up the company and searched for available jobs and it didn't show this job. Then I searched the internet to see what people said about this company. I am highly suspicious of everything. If I didn't apply then I am going to research the heck out of you to ensure your real. Just some advice on what to do before responding to text messages or emails about jobs.

I was contacted via text regarding an application I filled out on Indeed. I communicated with them for many days, they sent a check to me so I could get the necessary equipment needed for the job. I thought this could be a scam but they used a reputable company paperwork and unfortunately I filled out the paperwork and returned to them. The bank believes the check is fraudulent and put a hold on it. What do I do next? I feel like they have some of my personal information......

Received a text message from David Malone (714) 462-4131 to do an interview for a file clerk (remote). The text said that a Marissa Gopaul would do the interview via Teams and then gave me a verification code to use. Once I was on teams Marissa said that the company was based in Singapore, so I went looking for the company. Ran across the scam information and then blocked both David and Marissa.

I was applying for jobs through linked in, I usually do a thorough check of the company. Originally it seemed as though the information checked out online. However none of the contacts that reached out to me through email seemed to be associated with the supposed company. Originally I was contacted by someone by the name of Shelly Botner a hiring recruiter who posted the job posting. She let me know that she read my qualifications and would like me to email their HR department. I did and was taken through a whole process of answering questions about my experience etc. then I was offered the position but was given a funky looking acceptance letter. I started fact checking the numbers and names and nothing came up in association to the “company”.. so I called the number to ask for more information and was given the run around. I spoke to a man who could barely articulate himself and claimed he was Ted White… when looking this up it shows Ted White as the owner of the company.. who I would imagine wouldn’t be so easily accessible and also would provide a well put explanation of the company and their business practices. I tried to go back to the linkedin page I was messaged from and who posted the job application, but it was taken down. I am happy I caught this as I know they would be asking for more personal information other than my phone number and previous work contacts. I am hoping this situation is resolved before someone else is taken advantage of.

I received an identical text message to the one in the other report from someone claiming to be John Rex (CEO of United Health Group) asking me to interview over telegram or signal. I applied for a number of jobs on CareerBuilder.com and that is how they got my information to text me.

They offered me a data entry position and sent me a check for the equipment/software. They asked me to send money to their vendors for installation. Their check came back a week later and my bank refused to return the money to me. I asked them to refund the money and they refused. I never received any equipment. I never performed any work. It takes the bank 10 minutes to recover damages from their company and they were provided all the details they needed to recover the money from the check. Wells Fargo retaliated because they held me hostage over contracts and created all of the Chinese, Taiwanese, Canadian, London, and Japanese trade barriers. They retaliated because the forged the election and were told that they're not allowed to impede my right to the obligation of contracts anymore.

I was contacted by a person calling herself Vanessa Perez from the company Brilliance Steel Ltd. regarding a remote data entry position.

I did not recall applying to this company, so I looked it up. They are a company based in Auckland, NZ. I did not return the text. Furthmore, I have only been applying via LinkedIn, so the potential scammers must be identifying victims there.

Contacted by text saying they were with Anthem Blue Cross and to respond to a job on Career Builder. Name in text was Kaley Parsons. Did not respond. Looked up phone number and found a scam on ScamPulse.com website.

The job offer seemed to good to be true. They asked for me to fill out a w4 I looked into the email a little further and the real Mike Pearsons email is ********************************* the scammer has an s at the end of insurance. I was contacted by Niall Garner and did a chat interview with Mike Pearson via zoom. Was very excited until they said they couldn’t send me new hire paperwork to my Apple email (apple emails are good at detecting scams) due to their email server being down and asked me to sign new hire paper work and a W4 via the chat.

Jabez and Dakota reached out to me on a random Sunday and asked offered me a job and told me I would start the next day as a 1099 employee. Upon accepting the offer, they sent me an "onboarding" email that included a Jotform link to Aflac where they asked for all of my personal information and my family's information as well. They told me because I was a contractor, I could not start until I completed the form because it's against the law. I was then contacted the next day saying I would have to wait until that Friday to attend "orientation" before I could start. The orientation was unorganized and unprofessional. The slides looked like a 3 year old put them together, the presenter "Dakota" was very dry, unenthusiastic, and did not seem to articulate very well. There were several other managing officials on the call including the "owner" that never said anything. They presented themselves as being partners with Metaverse and helping entrepreneurs and business owners build their websites and establish their presence on social media. Another red flag was the company was formed by an individual named Bob not "Jeff" who they originally said was the owner. After doing research Bob has formed 20-40 other companies. When it was time for me to start, I got an email in the middle of the night prior to my start date saying that my job had been suspended for another week due to website updates. I reached out immediately for clarification, but didn't get a response. Then, two days later I got an email from someone named "Joe" who emailed everyone from Dakota's account saying that stated:

I've never in my life seen witnessed anything of this magnitude. Please beware and don't fall for it! They have all of my personal information and now I have to set aside an entire day to report them and put a lock on all my personal data and credit files.

Interesting! I just experienced the same thing. Italian company - based on Milan. If you google the address where they say They are based, you can't find the company MAGALA S.R.L. THEY USE TECHNICAL AND PROPER LANGUAGE AND DON'T ASK son don't let them trick you! They even send Google docs that seem to be formal. After a few interactions with them (2 days) to see how everything goes, they are asking me to use MY BANK ACCOUNT to cash a check for them! They send long emails but this is what they mentioned in their last communication, below. They send you 1 or 2 silly "Assignments" and then they ask you to be involved in illegal transactions:

Lastly, earlier today I contacted my boss about your case and can tell you this - if you are still unwilling to assist us further with customer payment processing after you complete the current assignment (our customer has already sent their payment to you and, thus, we cannot cancel this assignment in the middle of the deal finalization stage), it is up to you. We are confident that you will not let us down with this payment and will sure provide you with other kinds of assignments after this one is complete as we are not going to make you do anything against your will. This is not our approach as we would like to establish a long lasting and reliable professional relationship with you".

I hope this helps people to not waste time on these SCAMMERS!
