I received in the mail a letter from a scammer posing as  "Franklin Madison" saying that I had not paid my health insurance premium. As I am on Medicare, I know I do not "owe" them anything. This "company" had been taking money from my checking account for several months before I realized they were doing so. I put a stop payment on their deductions. Now, they are trying to get the money by mail.

The bank gave me several phone numbers associated with the withdrawals. The first one was totally bogus. The second one was to a legitimate company. They sell health insurance; but, in one state and one state only. I do not live in that state. I was also informed they are aware someone is using their phone number/information for a scam and are taking legal actions.
