A recorded female voice left a message that the FPB Consumer Processing Division has been retained to process a formal inquiry regarding an important personal matter that we may have direct or indirect involvement with. Due to the nature and importance of this information, federal law does not allow them to tell me the nature of this matter. They urge me to call 1-877-297-2962. About a week later, they called saying that they have not heard from me about the information forwarded to their office and I am allowed by law to provide a verbal statement which may influence their client moving forward with this matter.

I googled the number and found that many people report having received identical calls from this number. I suspect phishing.
