While installing Microsoft Office 2018 I got an error. Then a popup claiming to be Microsoft asking me what the problem was. No matter what I said they wanted my phone number, so they could walk me through it over the phone. Only problem is they then started claiming that files were missing on my laptop, and the only way to fix it was to have them remotely have access to my laptop. At some point they claimed that Microsoft Office would not work because of Malware in my network, and I needed their network security. In the end I got Microsoft Office, but was charged $274.00, for something that is not on my computer. Anything resembling their network security. They claimed to be Fox Professionals, but the phone number they called from was some women who had no clue her phone number was being used to hide a cybercriminal. After getting my credit card shredded at the bank, and getting a new one. They said it was diffidently a scam. A week later it dawned on me to Google the keywords (only costs 274.00), and apparently you can build you own Ipad Air with that money. Who ever is doing this most likely sells them, but they would be fake not to mention not work at all or worse.
