Received a voice mail from a Sarah Downey from a Foster M Monroe Law Firm in regards to a complaint about my brother. Gave a case # and says if we don't call it will result in loss of involvement. Called them back on phone #855-463-2233 and spoke to Philip head of the Legal Dept. to find out they have a case from JP Morgan Chase suing my brother because of Jewelry purchased back in 2008 and says this is now considered stolen property and he must turn himself in if he doesn't pay. They were reading through his credit report and demanded that we paid 802.68 over the phone with a credit card or debit card before midnight tonight to settle all future charges and legal actions that will take place the next day. They also say we can keep the "stolen" item if we paid this amount. Also states if we do not pay the amount a suit will be filed by chase who has hired them and the total they will garnish from my brothers paychecks would be over $4000 including attorney fees. Also adds the option of returning the item and will get 500 credit back but still have to pay $1096 which can be don't monthly. However is very adamant about having us pay over the phone to take care of all charges with possibility of keeping the item. Even drops charges down to $550 to pay immediately over the phone. When asked if this is legitimate he states "well I do have your credit report and I can see this and that etc. I can see your checking account getting direct deposits and we will freeze it if we don't get payment." I told him I would call him back. Researched rhe company on Google and I'll I see is the word SCAM. So thankful we didn't go forward with payment.
