Hi, I was contacted by a company posing as a mystery shopper insights company, who sent me a check for $4900. I was supposed to deposit it, keep an amount for myself, and buy 4 blank $1k money orders at WalMart. The contact was evasive and stuck to stock answers when I questioned them. The name of the contact was listed as "Chris Allen" and the check was signed by "Scott A Lucke" but the check does not bear a watermark that I can see. I deposited the check and immediately felt uneasy, so I am canceling the deposit with my bank, and figured I'd report the scam here as well.
