This company is a scam tech company. They stole $469.99 three times in June of 2018 from my stepfather for "computer services". Total BS!

Last week they stole another $499.99 from my stepfather's bank account for BS reasons. The paper receipt that my Mom received (my stepfather passed away back on 8/11/2022) doesn't even have any details as to what the bogus charge was for! They put a transaction ID and the amount. No description whatsoever.

These a-holes only got away with this again because we hadn't closed my stepfather's bank account yet. My instincts told me that he must have given his bank account over the phone because his (Mac) computer was being held hostage. He would usually never do this unless he was at his wits end. He was a very shrewd businessman. We transferred all of the money to another account on Friday so that these POS scammers don't get any more money from their fraudulent business. I was able to get his bank to reverse the charges and re-deposit the lost money based on the information that I provided.

I don't know what this company claims, but I'm assuming that they install malware or a virus on someone's computer then hold their computer hostage until they get paid. Then they scam the user multiple times after the original fraudulent payment. They state they are a "computer repair" company. Total scam. They are not accredited by the BBB.

Fortifica planted a virus on my computer and locked it out. The added a popup on my home screen to call apple support for a fix. When called Fortifica technology answered and charged me $250.00 to remove the malware. They demanded my bank account number and draft info. They added lots of desktop icons and phishing software then removed the virus.

4 months later Fortifuca called and stated they were closing the business and giving my money back. They deposited $250+ an extra $4k in my account. Fortifica called same day and demanded the 4k$ back in which they stated that I can bank transfer it to Fortifica account or bo and buy 4k$ worth of gift cards.

After going to the bank I learned that Fortifica have accessed my savings account and moved my own money from savings to checking and was requesting me to buy the gift cards with my own money. At this time I am 4k$ less as Fortifica took the money within 15 min of my calling and disputing the moves.

I opened an email to unsubscribe and a spyware/hacker alert popped up, flashing and making sounds, saying I needed to call Apple Support immediately at (844) 445-1944 or my computer and all of my information was at risk. The man on the line said his name was Mack Williams and he would help to stop the hackers and see how much damage had been done, unless I just wanted to take my computer in to the nearest Apple Store. I was terrified, and the nearest Apple Store is 60 miles away from me, so I agreed to let him remotely access my computer. He said that I needed a security program because the hackers were able to deactivate my firewall and would be able to get all of my information. In the end I purchased security with an electronic debit providing him with account and routing numbers to my checking account. Afterward, things were not sitting well with me, so I called Norton Security and they said it was definitely a scam. I called back the supposed "Apple Support" men and accused them of being the hackers, which they denied, they cancelled my security program but said they could not stop the online payment. Then they called me back 8-10 times wanting to access my computer again to reinstate the cancelled security program. Thankfully I did not let them hold my computer hostage, but I now have to change all passwords and close bank accounts.

Window came up on my MacBook screen stating I had a malware, spyware or virus problem, advising me to call a 1-888#. I could not close the screen no matter what I entered. Phone number given said it was Apple support, I called, after some time with Bryan, he had control of my computer, then explained it would take an hour to fix, but I would have to pay $289, $389 or $489 depending on whether I wanted to purchase a 12 month, 24 month, or lifetime "license". That's when my red flag popped up. I hung up, called Apple, and learned Apple support is a 1-800#, and I would never be charged for phone tech support for an up to date Apple computer. The actual Apple rep stated if Apple takes control of your computer, they will never click anything with their cursor, they will ask you to click on something. I will be changing all my passwords and keeping an eye on bank accounts. Please investigate
