I needed to cancel my flight I booked through Contour Airlines within 24 hours of booking the flight. I googled “contour airlines 24 hour cancellation”. Flying Guidelines website, https://www.flyinguidelines.com/, appeared to be a cancellation phone number for Contour Airlines so I called the number. I told them I want to cancel my flight and it had been less than 24 hours since I booked it. They lied to me and told me if I canceled my flight, I would still be charged $600 in unrefundable airline taxes and it would be better to upgrade my tickets to “flexible” class tickets. I didn’t think that was correct but I agreed to pay the $876 rather than lose the $600 on airline taxes. It was all a lie. I later looked up Contour Airlines customer service number to tell them I thought they overcharged me, still within 24 hours of booking the flight. They told me there was no charge to cancel my flight within 24 hours and that I had been scammed by calling the Fly Guidelines phone number I had called, 800-998-6716 https://www.flyinguidelines.com/.
