After forming a new LLC, I received an official-looking letter telling me I had "one step left" to obtain all your documents now for only $399.89 and remain in good standing. This is completely false. The filing through sunbiz.org was all that was necessary to file for the LLC and to get an EIN # is free. This "scam company" should be shut down ASAP!!

I filed Articles of Organization for an LLC last week and today I received a notice that looked very official (as if issued by a government entity) requesting payment for a Certificate of Status ($89.95), a Labor Law Poster ($124.95) and an EIN ($199.95). The notice has a "respond by" date and lots of red ink that makes it look like I'll be in real trouble if I don't pay these fees. Doesn't hold up to scrutiny, but this business is clearly preying on new business owners. Not cool.
