Website had a misleading link to “click here to purchase new fishing license” Instead you purchased a $30 downloadable PDF file with instructions on “how to purchase a fishing license.”

Site says"Renew fishing license" but in fact they do not.Keep asking for additional money, and refuse to refund even within 24 hours.

This is a total scam! I was in a hurry to get my fishing license so I went on line and fishinglicense.org was the first site that came up. After entering my credit card info I got a pop up message saying your credit card has been charged, however, they didn't tell me how much was charged and I did not get a confirmation showing that I purchased a license. I called them and they said they would refund the $23.99 but not the $4.99 processing fee and that I should have read the small print. They also said they emailed everything to me but to an email address I did not provide. I talked to them about an hour ago and he said he was going to email (to my correct address) the refund details within 6 minutes and I still have not received them.

Fishinglicense.org has purchased ads through google to intercept people looking to purchase state fishing licenses. They deceptivly advertise the purchase of a fishing license for whichever state you google and appear to be official with the .org domain. I emailed them to refund my money, which they did, but I still feel scammed and wanted to warn others.

I was searching to purchase a fishing License in the state of MASSACHUSETTS. But this website scams me out of purchasing what I THOUGHT was a fishing license. Instead they sold me a guide book after taking my credit card information. Never stated what I was paying for or explaining anything of Purchases.

These fraudsters intentionally dupe people looking to buy a fishing license. I was in a rush and had already entered my credit card before I noticed this website doesn’t sell fishing licenses at all.

I was in a hurry, trying to renew my fishing license to take my kid fishing. This was the top item in a google search for Nebraska Fishing License. Website leads you to believe they will get you a fishing license in any state. Didn't read the fine print. I provided my credit card information and was charged $4.99 for I am not sure what, but it definitely wasn't a fishing license. Based on other complaints I read, I did not try and waste my time getting my money back.

The website makes it appear that you are purchasing a fishing license, which you are not.

Thought I was buying a fishing license but in stead it was a book on how to get a license. They did refund the purchase but then kept 4.99 for processing fee. It's a complete scam.

We wanted to buy fishing license online. This website makes us confused. We clicked on to renew fishing license. We got charged $4.99 at first and then received an email notification for the purchase of online guiding. We thought it’s small money and ignored it, kept waiting for email confirmation of the renew license. We never got any renew license but got charged again 2 days later $23.99. We called them to asked for the license because we never got it. They said $23.99 was just for the fishing guide and $4.99 was for the transaction fee. After arguing on phone, they finally acepted to refund our money (it will take 7-10 days to get it, hopefully we will get the refund soon). However, this website is a kind of scam even they said everything is clear online. This is a bad experience, and those kind of website is misleading and to me like a scam!

This looks like you are purchasing a fishing license when in fact you are not. Do not give information.

I was buying a Wisconsin fishing license and was diverted to this web site which then took my credit card and other information and tried to sell me a book. I suspect they might sell my information.

Deceptive online purchase of a fishing license

- Wilmington, VT, USA

The fishinglicense.org website was very misleading as all the information made it seem as though you were purchasing a fishing license for a particular state. After taking your information including credit card the websites proceeds to collect a fee similar to the cost of the fishing license. After the fee is paid you receive an email with some sort of "guide to become a licensed fishermen" also including coupons for grocery shopping. The fishinglicense.org website is clearly taking advantage of people who assume they are purchasing a license however only receive some sort of guide. My credit card company cannot stop the payment. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS WEBSITE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A FISHING LICENSE

This website pretends to be the state fishing license department (Michigan is where this happened to me). I typed in Michigan Fishing License and Fishing License.org came up first with as official looking Michigan document. After applying for the fishing license and paying for it online a page came up saying that the document would be shipped in 10 business days (still referring to a license) but no way to print a temporary license was offered and in fact no invoice of any kind was available. After some deep reading found at the bottom that I had just purchased for o$23.99 a document on how to get a fishing license.............in an attempt to get further information everything cleared from the screen with no invoice number or tracking of any kind...no way to try to cancel the useless information.

All states need to be aware that this is going on and using state logos to persuade customers that they are on the correct page when they obviously are not!

Fishinglicense.org appears the top of search engine when renewing a fishing license. The screen appears to display an area for you to renew your license. You enter your information including credit card number. It then lets you know that you have purchased a $19.99 booklet on how to obtain a fishing license. When I called they told me they would remove the $19.99 charge for the booklet but keep the $3.00 processing fee. Eventually I was able to get him to waive the processing fee.

But now they have my credit card information and some personal identification material on me.

At best, I assume I am going to get flooded with junk email and at worse they may sell or use my credit card information

Very deceptive web site
