Received a phone call from a guy going by the name of Mike Roberts. He said he was a paralegal who worked for First American Title out of Florida. The physical address was all correct after verifying on satellite imagery; however, their employee list did not state a Mike Roberts. Their was a similar name which I do not want to divulge for the privacy of the individual. Moreover, the name the scammer was using was out of California. He tried to strengthen his scam of timeshare sales with tax code information and legal terminology. Unfortunately, his low quality phone call and background noise was an immediate indicator of his scamming intentions. After multiple attempts to call him back, no pick up. I verified this criminal activity with the true First American Title out of Tallahassee, FL. There is no employe by the name of Mike Roberts nor a paralegal that would make an initial phone call. He was not asking for fees upfront for the sale of my timeshare but I felt it was more of a matter of getting personal information to engage in identity theft for monetary value.
