Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received check from "First American Title Insurance Company". It came via Priority Mail Express addressed to me as was the enclosed check for $2,290.00. I suspected it was a fake since I have not participated in any property transactions. Also, there was an accompanying strip of paper telling me to text my name, check amount and check number to a telephone number with an 815 area code. The check from the company used a Tempe, AZ address; the check was narc from York, PA; and the phone number was from Illinois. Lastly, the check number was in the 238+ millions and did not match the check number on the bottom of the check (which was in the wrong place). The check looks absolutely genuine and many people will fall for it.
