I received a Priority Mail letter from Finish Line in Santa Ana. Supposedly, Steven Moore Advert Coordinator for Breyers ice cream says that I was approved to have my car wrapped with advertising decals. He sent me a check for $4850. Telling me to cash the check from my checking account and keep $850 of it and give the rest to the auto wrap company. I immediately thought scam.

I called Breyers and found out that it is indeed a fraud.

It was a check and a letter. The letter held instructions on how to deposit the check and take the funds elsewhere to wire back to the letter sender.

Fake check. Bogus instructions.
