Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
When I suspected he was a scammer, I called him out and he got pretty mad. The guy cursed me out and proceeded to tell me how dumb I was for not believing his story.
I asked for the company name and he told me he works for the Financial Relief Center in San Jose, CA. While on the phone with him, I navigated to the website and found that nothing really seems to work on the site. You can't email them, you can't call them, but you can enter your information into their 'Contact Us' page and apparently they'll call you back.
I asked why the phone number on the website was different from the number which was calling me; he hung up immediately.
I called the number back a few times and talked to a couple different people in their 'office'; I was sure to let them know what I thought of them and what they're doing; I wasn't nice about it at all.
These kids need to be stopped! Where is the law enforcement here? I fully expect to get scam calls from overseas, but to have it here in America is tragic. These kids actually think they're working for a legit company; I guess people will believe anything they're told if they're getting paid to go along...
