I have no home warranty with this company. (I do have a home warranty with another firm)
After receiving a second letter, I responded to the telephone number asking to be removed from their mailing list, whereupon I was highly pressured to purchase a plan from them. I advised that I had a plan. They asked to speak to "Ronald," my deceased husband. I advised that he had passed 3 years ago and i was the sole home owner. They then asked for my Power of Attorney number.
At that point I hung up.
At the bottom of this "final notice" in small prints are these words: "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder. Home Warranty Administered by Home Warranty Direct."
I can clearly see how this would easily lead an elderly individual into worry and sucking into a scam. Please do something about this.
