Received a fake tax letter asking for personal information and payment
Obviously, in retrospect, the email is clearly fake and suspicious, and I should have known better. After sending the first email, which contained little identifying information, I was sent another form to fill out and was asked for my Name, Social Security Number, Address, Phone Number, Email, and income from that year. I sent that form, and later received an email asking for payment. This is when I realized what was happening and reported it, though I had already sent out personal information.
