I called the number and found out it was from a old payday loan and that they supposedly had gotten information from my old bank account and that I had a verified job. I told the lady I talked to that I had researched her company's name and phone number on the internet and that it was a scam. She was very rude and tried to talk over me. I was told that they could not be responsible for other people who may have had the business phone number before. Unless they changed the phone number in less than a week it was a lie. Also they were still using the same company name as previously reported by others. I reported this scam to the State Att Generals office and also filed an incident report at the local police station as suggested by the prosecutor's office. I also checked with the county clerk's office and no civil suit had been filed in the county or state against me as of 4/24/18.
